A date for your diary – Microsoft will be hosting its second TechDays event this year in London on the 23rd to 25th May. The full details aren’t out yet but you can get more info by clicking on the big picture below;

I’m planning to put one day together around some “client” technologies and am hoping to get some really great speakers in for that particular day so feel free to make suggestions on the comments here if you have things that you think we [should/should not] be talking about – I can’t promise that it’ll change the agenda but I can promise to read your input and give it consideration.

Hope to see you there Smile

How about a sesion on "How to make some money developing for Windows Phone 7".  Maybe put together best practice, tips from top devs, What not to do, which apps are the most popular, how much should I price my app for (if at all) Trial verses Free, BizSpark opportunities etc.

How about

Migrating your real world leagcy database to a silverlight Azure app with custom authentication  ?

but please NOT how to drop a grid on a silverlight form

:-)

Seriously, there are lots of simple examples, but a quikc scan of the forums would give you a good idea on what is causing the most pain at the moment :

Ian - ok, will pass that on to people thinking about Phone.

Bruce - ok, will bear that in mind although I haven't a clue how to migrate your real world legacy database to an Azure app with custom authentication - but it might well be one for our Cloud day.

Thanks!

Mike.

Hi Mike,

Was a bit tongue in cheek, the point being that there are often many challenges to over come in doing real world work  (as you know ) A sessions on things that you need to consider when doing stuff like this would be great.

E.G Authentication

How do i migrate internal services

How to i move my website to azure

How do i write to a dir on the Azure site that i can do so easliy on an IIS server in house

etc..

Rgds..
