It looks like there is a download available of Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 1 if you’re an MSDN subscriber.

Lightswitch is extremely interesting. What I would really love to know, who is the target audience for this project? I can see lightswitch only valid in certain scenarios. But based on what I've seen so far I wouldn't use it to build a medium scale application.

Btw the learning curve for this tool (I'm a silverlight developer) was less than an hour.

This is the perfect tool for designing and prototyping an application. I don’t need to re-invent the wheel for every menu, grid, form, report and process. With this tool I can prototype my application very quickly and then spend time on the really cool custom parts.  In my experience, Eighty percent of the work in any large program is the redundant type:  Grid, form, lookup, gird, form, lookup.  About twenty percent is that special custom code that becomes proprietary to the program.  I’ve used a tool like this since the DOS days and it has made me successful where others have failed.
