If you’re up in Edinburgh then you’re lucky as it’s a great city and it also has the nicest Microsoft office I’ve seen in the UK ( rooftop gardens :-) ).

You’re also lucky in that on the 16th April there’s a Visual Studio 2010 launch event happening in our Edinburgh Office and Jason Zander, the General Manager for Visual Studio, will be there.

I imagine ( given the size of the office ) that this will give you very good access to chat to Jason about whatever you like in Visual Studio.

So…if you’re up in that part of the country then why not drop in? Here’s the blurb for the event;

I was hoping there would be a launch event in Newcastle again, its a bit closer than Edinburgh.  Can we assume it won't be happening?

Why not come to Edinburgh, go to the launch - see the great offices at Microsoft - and that roof garden has the most fantastic views, then stay for a few days and enjoy the city

I have attend the Visual Studio 2010 UK Launch at London. the worst experience .., No lunch provided, there is no free Visual Studio 2010 software.

What happen to Microsoft, are they doing good?

or have they forget about to give the free Visual Studio 2010 Software.

The seminar is good and useful.

They have given a VM installed VS2010, for this you should have Windows server 2008. I wonder, is there any person have windows server 2008 in their pc????

Once again i am asking, have MS forget about to give the free Visual Studio 2010 Software.?????

Hi Raja,

Thanks for attending the launch.

You're right - there was no lunch provided at the launch so apologies if you were led to expect that there'd be lunch made available.

Equally, apologies if you thought that someone had promised you a copy of Visual Studio for attending the launch.

I'm glad you enjoyed the sessions - we have 10 full days of sessions (IT Pro and Developer) running in London this week and attendance is free at every one of those sessions. I hope to see you at more of the events this week and feel free to come along and have a chat if you make it.

Mike.

I'm guessing that the keynote isn't going to happen now, what with the UK airspace being shut down.  Is the rest of the event still going ahead?
