Silverlight Streaming just got a couple of improvements.

One is that there's a better upload experience for video files.

The other update which is more important for me is that you can now upload a WMV file to Streaming and then just reference it using a plain URL. The details are here.

I published a whole bunch of videos to Silverlight Streaming just recently and found it a bit "challenging" to get a reference to what I'd published because you couldn't get a permalink to the videos. You had to do a translation from a streaming:/ URL to a real URL and the only way to do that was to get some Javascript from Silverlight Streaming to do it for you.

All that looks to be resolved with this new enhancement - nice to see things moving on so quickly :-)
