Tim Sneath has a post over here about a bit of a slip-up with the "WPF/E" CTP which means that it stopped working.
Fortunately, all is not lost in that you can follow the link on Tim's post to download a new Windows or Mac runtime and you'll also be needing a new agHost.js file if you're writing "WPF/E" code rather than just viewing someone else's content.
Whilst writing this post, I've just gone and done "remove program" on my;
"WPF/E (codename) Community Technology Preview (Dec CTP)"
and then gone and visited the link for the Windows version of the runtime from Tim's blog (1.09MB) and installed that and now I have;
"WPF/E (codename) Community Technology Preview (Feb 2007)"
From a dev perspective, I then updated the agHost.js script file that I was using with my samples from Tim's site. I also dropped it into the js folder of the zip file that lives in;
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\CSharp\WPFE\WPFEJSApplication.zip"
and I also dropped it into the js folder of the FOLDER that lives in;
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplatesCache\CSharp\WPFE\WPFEJSApplication.zip"
With that done, all seems well and I updated the agHost.js file on my website so that my little samples work again.
Unfortunately, I've hit a glitch in that my uninstall/reinstall seems to have left me in a situation where IE7 doesn't display content and yet FireFox does. Somehow it seems that IE isn't detecting that I've got the "WPF/E" player. However, colleagues have done the upgrade and it's worked ok for them so this is probably a "just me" thing.
I've moved my little "WPF/E" samples so that they use the new agHost.js script file.
